ANÁPOLIS, January 31, 2012 - The expansion of Youth Network for Sports (REJUPE) in the 12 host cities of the 2014 World Cup is growing stronger every day with the support of governmental actors, civil society organizations and groups of adolescents working towards a common goal in each city.
The series of local meetings of REJUPE, that begins in Salvador (BA) on February 13th and 14th, aims to initiate a process of awareness of adolescents and local managers of governmental and non governmental organizations, on the need of guaranteeing the right to sports in order to create opportunities of collaborative actions among these actors and adolescents, so as to foster the creation of initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing the social legacy of the mega-sporting events in Brazil.
