International Conservatory of the Arts offers new courses

ANÁPOLIS, January 31, 2011 – Finding creative and innovative solutions for day-to-day needs, to facilitate and encourage interaction within our society by nourishing artistic talents, is one of the greatest challenges today. Through its courses in arts and culture, the International Conservatory of the Arts seeks to provide training of excellence beyond the classroom, using a methodology which includes exposure through dialogue, entertainment and directed construction of concepts of the topics covered by practical action.

In 2012, the Conservatory, the result of the partnership between Goiás State University (UEG) and IIDAC, offers new courses in the areas of International Culture, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Music and Dance. The courses in theater, contemporary dance, music theory, English, Spanish and French language are now joined by classes of Russian language, expressive gymnastics, breakdancing, stamping dance, street dance, belly dancing, painting on canvas, chanting and beatboxing. The registration period closes on February 10th and the start of classes is scheduled for February13th.

This novel cultural space now offers a class to train teachers in folk traditions and popular cultural manifestations of the Brazilian state of Goiás through different techniques of reflection and artistic playfulness that can be used subsequently in the classroom as a way of appreciation of the intangible cultural heritage of Goiás.
